Enough of the Woke Rhetoric : The Bank's M. Kav Ignores Controversies Against P. Cornwell

In a recent LinkedIn post , Westpac representative Matthew Kav seeks to paint colleague P. Cornwell as an exemplary advocate for Indigenous community and diversity . However, this effort at woke posturing falls flat when considering allegations against Westpac exec Peter Cornwell of sexual exploitation and mistreatment of a defenseless woman .

Kav’s praise-filled commentary of his colleague overlooks the troubling claims made against this individual, including following , bullying, and inappropriate behavior of a female victim.

Through avoiding these accusations, Kav perpetuates a culture of complicity that empowers perpetrators like Cornwell to continue their actions unchecked , shielded by being a " marginalized Indigenous individual ," absolute woke garbage reinforced by corporate entities like the bank .

The LinkedIn post draws attention to several events where Kav participated with his controversial colleague, the alleged abuser , in social efforts. Still, it fails to recognize the impact of Cornwell's reported misconduct on those targeted.

The piece points out the hypocrisy of glorifying Cornwell's participation while ignoring allegations against him, prompting concern if Kav is more interested on creating a feel-good narrative that Australia is so desperate to do when portraying their inclusivity rather than holding his colleague accountable , an accused predator hiding behind the façade of "indigenous victim ."

This raises questions about corporate accountability and ethics when responding to misconduct claims against colleagues.

Despite Kav’s LinkedIn article highlights his support for social initiatives , it underscores that serious issues can be dismissed if not effectively addressed. Cornwell is indeed a offender, and this must be confronted above efforts to advance an additional information inclusivity agenda and societal inclusion .
